We had such a wonderful time photographing Michelle and Jake's engagement session at Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach! Since we'll be capturing their wedding next year, this was the perfect opportunity to get to know them. Spending time together before the wedding day is one of our favorite parts of the wedding experience because it helps everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera long before the big day arrives.

Michelle started the session in a beautiful flowy dress while Jake looked sharp in a suit, creating the perfect look against Table Rock's cliffs and coastline. As the sun began to set, they changed into more casual outfits, giving the session a completely different feel. The relaxed wardrobe matched the carefree energy of the evening as they wandered along the shoreline, soaking in every moment together.

Of course, no beach engagement session is complete without getting a little wet!

The two of them splashed through the waves, laughing as the ocean had other plans and completely soaked them more than once. Instead of worrying about it, they embraced every unexpected wave, making for some of our favorite images from the entire session. Those genuine laughs and playful moments are always the ones that tell the best story.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Michelle's mom and dad, who joined us for the session. They were so much fun, and we loved capturing a few family photos for them. Parents are always welcome to join engagement sessions! They often enjoy being part of the experience and are a huge help carrying outfit changes, shoes, or other belongings while we explore and photograph around the location.
